What a great quilt! Well worth the wait! Sometimes quilts are like a good stew, they need to simmer awhile. LOL, I'm working on son and DIL's quilt that I started almost 12 years ago. DIL saw it on table as I was basting and mentioned how pretty it was. She still likes it after this long! Now to get it quilted. G, the "Farmer's Wife"

beautiful quilt. I'm also noticing you standing there in shorts. I'm jealous, it is 15 - 20 degrees below zero (fahrenheit) wind chill here and that's darn cold!!!! Needless to say, I'm staying indoors and quilting.

That is just gorgeous. Love the idea of the small stars in the joining sashes. Just beautiful.

I actually sewed the triangles to the sashing pieces before adding them to the block, quilt as you go. Just treat them as you would any other strip ... it's a bit of planning before hand - but really worth it!

Yes it's shorts weather here in Queensland Australia ... in fact had the airconditioning running at the time of the photo! Temps around 32 degrees c!! :) Pools getting a real workout this summer - not really quilting weather, however I just head for the sewing room and turn down the airconditioning!!
