Here is the quilt I am working on my for my new grandniece. I am using "Birds and Berries" layer cake from Moda and added in yardage for background (white) and backing (yellow floral) and the binding.

Here is what I have done so far:

After the pinwheels I will do another narrow white border, then sandwich, quilt, bind and label it. Can't wait to get it to the little darling!

What a great idea! I've only done this for a Bargello quilt (which is still a UFO sadly). We should do this for all our quilts. So interesting to see how all those fabrics finally come together. Thanks for an inspiring idea. Love your quilts.
