This is one of my very first quilts. Didn't have a pattern, just copied from a picture in a magazine (don't even think it was a quilting magazine). If I remember correctly, this is all poly/cotton fabric and has a fat batting. In those days, I wanted a quilt to be "puffy" like a comforter. The quilt still lives on a sailboat, sailing around the world. I'm assuming the polyester makes it extremely warm.

Beautiful! I love it. I have a pattern set aside that showcases white stars I hope to get to someday!

Kudos to you for doing this w/o a pattern.

I have a teenage friend I have taught to quilt and against my advice she is using hi-loft poly batting because she wants it puffy. Maybe puffy is making a comeback in her generation! :)

Very pretty. And polyester should last a long long time. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful job, kudos to you for completing this quilt without a pattern. If only your quilt could talk?

Good Morning Santa Rosa. Aren't you surprised that more California quilters don't participate on the QB? I know there are thousands of quilters in No California cause we have quilt shops on almost every corner. I've not shopped in Santa Rosa but will have to give it a try. I've got a trip planned in September where I'm spending a week shop-hopping in Oregon. Should be fun (and expensive)!
