This is going to be good - I love the block - I have always wanted to make one of these - just haven't gotten to it yet - so I am going to live vicariously through your block. Make sure to keep us posted.

The colors are a little brighter in the photos. (more orange than the rust color) the block came out true to color. But... I got the leaf pattern (on left), paisley (in middle) & the marble (in block) at the quilt shop in town. The paisley was 40% off!! The print in the block was from Craft Market in Carson City and the leaf/acorn print was from JoAnns in Carson City...60% off!. I'll post pictures of each block & hope the colors come true to color. Thanks for asking!

I do hope you are planning on using a contrast fabric, such as a dark brown batik, to make those brilliant and wonderful fabrics pop.
