    Sew fine, it is exactly half-way between 3/4 and 1 inch!
    3/4 is 6/8 And 1 inch is 8/8
    7/8 is exactly between.

    Thanks so much. I have a lot of patterns that calls for this measurement, but never knew where it was on my ruler. I have marked it.

    Sewfine, You 'guesstimate' half way between 3/4 and 1". when it comes to HSTs, I go to the inch then trim the finished sub-block.
    Buddysmom, your excellent fabric choices really make these blocks sing.

    The 7/8" mark is the tiny mark just before the #. They are the tiny little lines between the other's. Does this make any sence??
