Aren't these machines great? I learned to sew on it in the 1950s.
I'd never get rid of it.

When I made my Steeler quilt finding the gold was difficult because it is rather orangey. We all love the Steelers in our house.

I like your pattern.
And I really like the red border strip on yours. I don't know why I didn't think of that too...lol.
