Fisnished this one on Monday and debated about showing it or not. It's far from perfect, but made with good intentions. Quilt design is Steppin' Up from Cuddle Cat Quiltworks, and the original design shows two additional rows across the width. i used greens and cream with tan dots from my stash.
No matter what I did, the quilt top wrinkled up, the back looks fine. Used 505 spray and pined and redid it several times. Still sections wrinkled. Only thing I can think of was that this was suppose to be Pellon batting from a Walmart order, but it was lumpy and bumpy.
Maybe a child will use this as a floor play mat.

I never bought in to the notion a quilt should to look flat and smooth so I never strived for that look. Pleats no, but wrinkles turn to crinkle when washed which is perfect to me.
I have won ribbons for less then accurately made quilts. The design and color always win for viewer's choice at local shows voted by the public which most are not quilters. LOL

Here is a pic of one quilt I won a ribbon for. It is far from perfect. The circle border is raw edged. When squaring up my quilt I cut off one curve of a circle so I added a wide binding to make all the circles the same. Some seams don't match. I entered it anyway.

bearsgray.....I did alternate the directions. I read somewhere that you are supposed to do that. Next time I'll try going on one way (seems easier to do also) and do a few more lines. Maybe that will help. Thank you!
