Default storm at sea test block :)

well...this is the first, and probably won't make it into the quilt at the end of it all.those diamonds were made with a gradient dyed batik, and i didn't wholly understadn what i was doing until i did it

i am using the creative grids ruler, and it's been a bit of a learning curve.

all in all though, the block goes together beautifully and the time isn't TOO bad, but for the fact that i bought 18 different batiks and am cutting as i go. slows things down, but it does mean i get up and down a lot more from the chair.

it's going to be really hard to give this one away. it's going to be truly gorgeous i think.

thanks for your help on the main board. i really just needed to git at 'er and stop fretting!

This is going to be amazing. Give us little peaks now and then of your other blocks. I bought this pattern with the templates at a quilt show a few years back. Seeing yours is surely making me want to get it out and start on it. Not sure if I have the courage yet.
