Great idea, I love making string quilts, have never used neutrals entirely--but now I will!!

Ooooh I wish we lived closer to each other. Won't bore you with the story;bottom line: I can't pick colors worth a toot. Your "scraps" make my heart beat faster! I'm collecting for a scrap quilt in muted tones of green. We live in the trees and have a pond. Two of our bedroom walls are plate glass so we can lay in bed or sit on the lounge and look at the outdoors. Assuming I get it figured out, the quilt will go on our bed.

Is there some formula to to putting together the lights and darks or may I slavishly follow what you have done? I am a good technician and problem solver but no artistic talent anywhere so if you feel inclined to tell me sizes and anything else you feel germane, it would be appreciated.

Thanks for listening to my sob story.

I really like that color (non color) combination. Very relaxing. Thanks for sharing.

Just beautiful. I love tone on tones, especially light colors.

What a beautiful quilt!! Looks too elegant for a scrappy quilt.
