I'm planning on making this, but making mine with about 12 inch blocks.

I like this block and thank you so much Elfi2 for all of the information you have shared. This block looks like a lot of fun to make. I am going to have to try a block.

Maybe make the strip rectangle bigger and the centre part/square a little larger too, assemble and then cut back to 12,5” 😉 I suppose it’s just something you’d have to fiddle around with until you get it right 😁 Good luck and let us know what the results are so it can be shared 👍 I might even give it a try myself 😉

Thank you for your directions. I will have to try slowly and carefully and guess that in the end it is pretty simple. Please your quilt when you get it finished. We would love to see a finish.

That looks like a fun block! A table runner would be lovely.

The quilt shown here starts out with 40 in strips sewn together.
If I start with a 2 in. center square, the strip sets should be about six inches long by 3 inches wide. Cut that on the diagonal. Then you need to add a triangle to each corner. Adding the triangle saves a whole lot of fabric that would otherwise be cut off at each corner.
I haven't made this yet, so this is still an idea that I think might work !

are you a member of scrap quilt enthusiasts bc they have been made in
droves on there and I love this block myself.
Have been redoing a room for sewing so haven't sewn all summer.
I don't go by mousie on there .
