    Strip Cocktail!

I just finished the top/back for my sister-in-law for Christmas.....although I'm going to give her a photo as the quilting won't be done by that time. The fabric is Kansas Troubles! I so love these colors~~

    Enjoy!

Thanks ladies! I know it isn't anything fancy compared to the work I've seen on this site I still am happy with it. I hadn't quilted for years and my gf gave me the bug. This is the second one I've gotten done since the middle of October. My first was a log cabin using the same fabrics. I didn't take picts of that one. I will once I get it back from the quilter.

The Kansas Trouble line is such a great versatile set of fabric, I love the colors in it. Beautiful quilt. Great choice of color and fabric. If she don't love it I will :=) Great Job.

you did a beautiful job. about the back... folks think it's easy just to sew all the leftovers together. i tried it once and it required a lot of planning.

To do the back I graphed it out. I had the six squares left over and went from there. It does take a lot of time to plan it out. I haven't cut my scraps because of not knowing what I'll need.

I really like that pattern. I've found that the simpler blocks and patterns often produce the most stunning quilts, especially when you have beautiful fabrics to show off.

While the top is beautiful, I absolutely love the pieced back. Recently took the plunge piecing a backing for a crib quilt.
