I made this comfort quilt for a dear friend who's just begun chemotherapy. All the fabrics are batiks (my FAVORITE!) This was a bit of a challenge for me as I'm not a big fan of scrappy quilts. I had a heck of a time choosing fabrics. You should have seen my sewing room, there was fabric EVERYWHERE!

The pattern is Strip Twist from this website if anyone wants to make one!

For some reason whenever I get hubby to hold up a quilt so I can take a pic, our dog sits down right in front of the quilt!

That is just beautiful and it cheers me up just looking at it. When your friend sees this, it will brighten their day along with their spirits.

And a very sweet little friend to boot -- I mean, not literally.

I really like it. Great choice of fabric. I just sent a queen size in this same pattern to the quilter. I used 203 different fabrics in it. I'll post a pic when I get it back.

You really did a nice job choosing colors and arranging them. Your friend will be comforted by it I'm sure.

I love your quilt-and your colors are great. I have never made a quilt with batiks-you have inspired me to try them though
