Wow, thanks for your suggestions, and the pointer to the dwirling video. Perfect -- swirls and echoes, as recommended. And it looks (operative word) easy. I'll try that!

Medallions were fussy cut. Very quick, simple quilt. I fell in love with the medallion fabric and bought the green at the same time. Shopped later for the turquoise, and found a good cream to go with it.

The backing fabric is sort of a beige on cream swirl...will show it after the quilting is done and I take more pictures.
