    Default Summer projects

These lap quilts will go to our guild philanthropy project, which is Alzheimers Study Group. I've really gotten hooked on the clamshell pattern. I know that lots of people shy away from the curves, but it's no more difficult than setting sleeves into a garment. Free pattern here: http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilt...20847~6fmi69nd The theme fabric shows sites in the San Diego area.
The stack and whack hexagons were left over from another quilt, and I was inspired by someone's layout here on the board. The colors show up better on the close up picture.

The second picture makes the hexies look like a puppy. I don't know if that was intended but it looks adorable. Great quilt!
