I love your little ladies so bright & pretty in red. I bought material to make a Sun Bonnett Sue quilt for my granddaughter when she was born. That was 18 years ago & the fabric sits in my stash, untouched. And I fear she would feel it was too young a quilt for her now.
Your needlework and patience in completing it is admirable.

I wanted to make one of these for a long time too. Finally I bought the 8 & 1/2" machine embroidered blocks on ebay. No way would I ever get around to hand embroidering. So many gals are good at machine embroidery and wanting to sell their work. The blocks cost me less than $1 each! I'm glad to finally have this finished for my DGD.

Very pretty quilt. I think it is wonderful to support others in their passions also. Your quilting looks good! I am still practicing with my FMQ. This is definitely a practice, practice, practice activity!

Hi Karenn,,

I have five daughters and one will turn 25 this month. She wants Sunbonnet Sue. When the movie "My Girl" came out, she noticed the Sunbonnet Sue quilt on the girl's bed,,,

So I have found a dish detergent bottle Sunbonnet Sue cover/apron and will be making a little tablerunner for her...I just know she will be over joyed even at 25 yrs old!! Oh by the way,, the fabric that is 18yrs old is it reproduction??? AND,, sure hope you kept it out of the Sunlight/fading.....I enjoy 1930's prints and buy it when I see it on sale!!
Take care,
Linda
