This is a quilt I'm making for my DGD's first birthday next month. This is my first applique project. I'm ready to sew the blocks together but am sort of toying with the idea of adding white sashing between the blocks. I think I like it better without sashing but wanted to get your opinions. The reddish color in the picture is actually orange.
Thanks for looking and giving your opinion.

I love it. You did a great job. I for one vote for no white sashing, I like the 4 corners meeting up. Love the colors

I also am against adding white sashing. Think it will look great as is!

IMHO, do it the way you laid it out. Your granddaughter will surely enjoy this quilt, whatever you do with it.

I think it is beautiful the way it is. Sure doesn't look like 1st timer. You have done a great job, be proud of yourself.

As others said white sashing would mess with the 4 patches
    This is very cute

So cute! I love the colors! I can visualize it with a very narrow sash between each. I think that the tiny sashing would make the four patches into cute little cornerstones...nothing wrong with that. However, the quilt is crazy cute laid out like it is!!

Adorable. I have a new grand daughter too and this is one I feel I need to make her in the not too distant future. Made a SBS quite some time ago now but gave it away for auction purposes for breast cancer.

I don't think you need anything else on this lovely quilt. If you want it larger, then add another row of Sue. The way it is now it's a real classic and your daughter will love it for many years.
