    this is needle turned and blanket stitched over the edges, I didn't realize that the yellow petals wouldn't show up very well from a distance so I added the blanket stitch to make them pop. And the center of the flower has gold beads added to make that pop. I purchased the border fabric from another board member and it inspired me to do this wall hanging. Its 30x30" and is my own design

    Wow-so nice!! The stitching worked perfectly! The sunflower is really bright.

    its applique not fused, you cut the piece with a 1/4" extra to be turned under, you kinda tuck it under with your needle an inch or so at a time then sew it down with tiny stitches
