Exclamation SURPRISE . . . First Grand Baby!

Here is the quilt that I made for my first grand baby due on Monday, August 6, 2012. It's a girl! This SURPRISE quilt is awaiting her arrival. Underneath the prarie points there are baby animals. The quilt should grow with her.

It's cute, and looks big enough she shouldn't need a new one for several years yet! ; )
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

Super cute... so bright & cheerful! And what a clever idea with your prairie points! I know your new DGD will treasure this for years to come! Kudos!

Absolutely adorable and colorful. Congratulations on your granddaughter. Maybe you can teach her to quilt one day.

Beautiful quilt!!! She will love discovering what is under each PP. I have seen this treatment before but do not know what the name of the pattern is. Could you share??

Love the bright colors and she will be able to use it for along time. Sometimes we forget how fast babies grow.
Congrats on being a Grammie, hope you live close enough to cuddle her.

Aww, first grands are so much fun. My first grand just left (she's 13) and yes, she wants another quilt. One a year, she says, but that can't happen. Congratulations. You are in for such a wonderful treat!

If this is a Peek-a-boo baby quilt with something us under each of the prairie points you've made a wonderful heirloom that she will definitely grow with. Thanks for sharing.
