This is the quilt top I finished today and will start quilting tomorrow for my dh to give to our dd when we take her to Sudbury to University the first weekend in Sept. She is going through to be a midwife and even though we have set her up with skype so we can see her, she will be able to wrap this around her and feel her dad there with her. I am only the step mom and don't want to tread on any toes but she will know I made it for her.
The other quilt is a memory quilt I made for the girl I nanny for as a gift for her dsil as a thank you gift.

my dd quilts and her kitty which is the grandkitty that lives with me

Just step Mom. A very important position. The more people there are that loves us the better. Hopefully someday, she will realize that if she doesn't already. The quilts are gorgeous both of them.

Please don't call yourself "just" the stepmom. Your role is as important as her dad's, and you are obviously very caring to have made her a quilt. I hope she appreciates you. It is very difficult to be a stepparent.
