I think it is beautiful for where ever you put it. I love it on the bed especially if that is a guest room and you are going to have holiday visitors. Then again, on the table others might get the chance to see it and the amazing work you did.

Making it for a Secret Santa Swap........What the recipient uses it for is up to her.... but I love the look of a bed runner for the holidays.
1/2 way to finish...needs sandwiching & quilting.
It is 18 paper pieced blocks with two borders. I am going to do just SID around the cream parts of the blocks and SID around the borders.
Love being this far ahead of myself with Christmas gift-giving.

The pattern in my runner is not the pineapple shown in some pineapple quilts. Although it is very much like it, the center square in my block is on an angle and not squared with the rest of the block.
This pattern is called CHRISTMAS HOSPITALITY RUNNER and it was in the Quilter's World magazine of December 2010.
