table runner - more fmq practice -summer!
I am making reversible table runners as a gift for my secret pal at church. Did this last year and gave her a new one every two months. Now I can't do that because ... then there'd be no secret! So this year I'm making them, but will give them as a set at our "reveal" party in December.
The lady this is for lives in flip flops. She has them in every possible style and color. Except for the 1/3 yd of the flip flop fabric all other fabrics are from my stash.
I have a tiny toe over the FMQ line - this one made me very happy! Don't have a clue what I'm doing, but I sure am having fun. The flowers in the center may be too busy, but I enjoyed making them. Loved doing the loop-de-loops in the border.
Those of you who are bitten by the FMQ bug, but are intimidated by it - try it! You'll like it! (starting with small projects does it for me.)

What a loving gift.
I agree about FMQ. I was seriously intimidated until I tried it. My guild has a frequent event with our LA machine. Everyone gets to play with FMQ on a guild set up. I am too disabled to use the guild machine, but I have lots of fun doing FMQ on my own. It's mainly a matter of relaxing and just doing it.
