Thanks.
Kitty runner is now complete. "Good kitty, bad kitty?" Just need my label and I can take it to the store on Friday.

I decided to use my backing as my binding, hand stitched it in place and then sewed with the machine using the same applique stitch as used on the kitties. I think it ties it in quite well plus lets people know there are options for binding and stitching.

My goodness, W4Me ... you have been one busy lady!
Both are absolutely great runners .... very effective with the fabric splits in the appliques.

Nice assortments of fabrics for both. I think the kitties with the text/pics is my favourite of the two, because of the black and white effects, along with the split personalities of the appliques. They work well together. So what did you use for your backing on this one?

As for your IRL Miss Kitty, what did she think of the kitty runner?

Here's the quote of the day I received. Seems to go with your black and white ...........
"If you see the world in black and white, you're missing important grey matter."
-- Jack Fyock

Hope you get some positive feedback when you deliver it to your LQS!
They are SO fortunate to have you doing some samples for their store.

Forgot to mention ... I like the looks of your appliqued stitching on the binding.
Good idea, to tie it all together.

Did you do a separate binding?
Or oversize the back, and fold to the front?

Thank you. Dainty was very helpful when I stitched the binding. I had enough excess backing that I could just fold it over to the front and stitch it down. The applique stitch tidied it up a bit and tied it in to the kitties.

I like that quote.

Quilt shop was thrilled and put it on display immediately.

As of today, they are displaying 6 of my quilts. In the next couple of weeks my French braid will be more prominent and my bargello goes in the window. I am quite pleased. And so is the store.
