    There are a couple of companies that have developed a foot and rulers/templates that can be used on domestic sewing machines similar to what longarms have for quilting designs. You hold the ruler against the foot anf follow the contour of the ruler to create designs. Google "Westalee Ruler", there are quite a few videos. It is not as easy as it looks in the videos - LOL!
