My friend wanted to to hire me to make her Step Mom a quilt. SHe spent 6 months looking for the perfect pattern...didn't find one in the mass amount of books and patterns that I already have...then one day whiel browsing Connecting Threads book sale....I found a kim Schaeffer book with a log cabin table topper on the cover that looked like something she would like...sent her the link and I made this..... the strips are 1.5 inch strips.....I had to make 60 something of the log cabin blocks.....and since every pattern she hires me to make has applique..I made her trace and cut out all of the flowers...Good deal huh?? Anyway...this is the finished product....I finally finished it last week.

Extraordinary!!! I love it. Do you find it difficult to let go of your "children"?

Log Cabins are my favorite! A bit labor intensive but oh so versatile. This is lovely! You have a lucky friend.
