You could rename this post 'The tale of two hearts' because your heart is as lovely as Myrtle's! :-D

Both of the quilts are beautiful! And your not only making her daughter a quilt for the baby, but giving the one her mom made you all those years ago is one of the kindest, most unselfish things I have ever heard of. You are doing something that will mean so much to her daughter. Thank you for your kindness.
Hugs,
Kat

It looks like you never used your daughters quilt. I'm sure your niece will love both of them.

The butterfly was a piece of black and white clip art (free) that I copied and made the size I wanted for the block. The tulip block is a modification of a nine patch (very easy if I can do it)

They are both sweet quilts. I bet you there will be some tears when the box is opened. Very sweet and generous of you to give her both.

You are so precious. I know it must be so hard to part with the quilt made for your first baby, but what a wonderful gift to share with the maker's daughter. Both of the quilts are beautiful and I know she will appreciate the love with which they are given.
