Texas Lone Star State from Moda Panels
This is a large wallhanging made from Moda's "Texas Lone Star State" line of fabric designed by Sara Khammash. The panels feature Texas icons on a map that has outlines of the counties (I believe there are 254 counties in Texas).
This quilt was especially fun to make because it was done in cooperation with a friend. From time to time we work together on a quilt for church purposes, and this one will be part of a fundraiser for a project yet to be determined -- our Uganda mission, the hurricane relief, or something else. It will probably be a raffle.
This fabric was sold in our LQS a while back, but it is now out of stock in many places. I was lucky to find it at a garage sale, and I just had to have it. The Ziploc bag at the sale contained most of the fabric and a hand-written set of instructions with no author listed. I think the original quilt may have appeared as a store sample or in a workshop. We made some modifications to the pattern and had so much enjoyment working together!
