How pretty. I love the French Braid. Have a book but haven't used it yet.

Thank you all for the kind comments. The braid and drops are actually machine quilted. The only thing hand quilted are the corner blocks. Everything except the cornflower blue came from my stash. After I had five strips completed (and not enough strips to make a sixth  ) I realized it was not going to be wide enough for a queen size bed, so I had to add to get the sizing I needed; silly me wasn't following any pattern and was just flying by the seat of my pants. And yesterday I bought 2 more yards of the cornflower blue to make matching pillow cases with the left over strips!

Minni - QYG is short for Quilt as You Go. The braids were pieced and quilted before sewing to the strips in between them. I had a hard time wrapping my head around this concept but it worked out great for a first time project.

Debra Mc - The French Braid was the inspiration for this quilt but I think the pattern is actually called "Friendship Braid" as it doesn't have the bigger center block and the braid doesn't change direction.

Haha, postponing - everyone should be so considerate so we could finish...LOL. Hope everyone is back to good health and they have long and happy lives together!

Very, very nice quilt. They are going to love it!
