It's great! Don't be afraid of the long arm. Just go on and begin to "play around" with it. Don't start on your quilt till yo have had some time just practicing. It becomes so much fun once you get the hang of it (I know from experience!)

It looks like the ripping was worth it! Gorgeous quilt. Are you sure you want to do your longarm learning on this beauty? I would practice on a wholecloth first to 'get my feet wet. I haven't read the whole thread, so I suspect there is a lot of advice from others, too.
