A couple days ago I asked for suggestions to make a quick quilt for our grand-niece (she's 8) that we'll be seeing Christmas Eve. We were invited to their house unexpectedly and I wanted to take her something because presents were going to be opened. I had some fabric in my stash but didn't know what would be quick. Many said to just use it as one piece and add borders, so that's what I did.

I made it today and I think it came out pretty cute. She takes dance classes so I think she'll like it.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions :)

Very nice. Sometimes a simple quilt can make a big statement, and I'm sure she will love it. I have to mention though that it looks like the quilting lines are very far apart. Did you check the batting to be sure that it doesn't require closer quilting? I'm not familiar with all batting types, so perhaps this is not really an issue, please forgive me if I'm butting in. But just in case, it would be better to add some more quilting than to have the beautiful quilt fall apart later on.
