I rarely ever go into thrift stores, I think it is a time thing, plus my dh is starting to call me a "hoarder"! Funny isn't he! Just think if I got into a thrift store!

Some people have all the luck. :-)

I have a wooden spool with a label that reads 15 cents.
Those were the good ol' days. :-)

At our local DAV (Disabled Veterans) Thrift Store, I found a bolt (yes, bolt) of beautiful forest green marbled 100% cotton fabric for $9.00 When I got home, I unwound it and there was over 11 yards - Sweet!!!!! Some Sundays, I can't find anything and some days its fab!!! Also, just down the street from my church. Does it get any better?

I sure don't get lucky like this. All my thrift stores have junk and are high priced to boot.

great job. I love wooden spools. Wish they still made them. A hundred years ago I saved them in large bags and donated to the kindergarten. I wish I had saved some for myself. OH WELL, the children enjoyed them.
