Three 3-1 yard quilts for charity

Since I have numerous fabrics with about one yard left, I decided to try Donna Robertson's 3-1 yard quilts. She used strip piecing and I was surprised how fast they cut and sewed together. Quilting them took longer LOL I was going to send them all to Quilts Beyond Borders, but then the Lahaina fires happened and the Quilted Twins had a contact in Maui, so the first two went there. We had just returned from Maui, less than 2 weeks prior, and had shopped and eaten in the strip where the concentration of the fire was. We were devastated for the loss of life, housing and employment for the people. I was in such a hurry to send them that I only have pictures after I sandwiched them. The last one is the one for QBB, and is shown completed. They all measure about 40" x 60", so I could just use the width of fabric x length to back them. As you can see from the completed quilt's photo, I still had to piece some backings, but more stash fabric is gone.

Emilia's Nana, great quilts and thank you for supporting Maui with them. Maui was my home earlier in my life. I sent 7 quilts, myself.

Love your quilts. I've been making a lot of 3 yd quilts lately myself. Most are going to Project Linus as they are at my LQS every week and I try to get at least 3 a year done for Quilts Beyond Borders as they are at annual quilt show and you can pick up free kits to finish and return.
