Yesterday after school my oldest daughter wanted me to take her to the thrift store. Well I could not help myself. I got all this fabric for under $10.00 and that included the tax. To top every thing off I then had a friend give me more fabric that's in the bottom picture. In all I got between 30 to 40 yards. Yesterday was a great day. I got to spend time with my daughter and got more than a great deal on fabric.

I just started checking the thrift stores after finding this board. So far no luck.

I love the "groovy" wavy fabric with purple in it. My nieces would love a quilt with that in it.

Darren it can be a hit and miss as far as the thrift stores, sometimes nothing and other days its like hitting pay dirt, of course those are usually the days the budget is tight..lol

There is a thrift store in las vegas called Savers...usually I don't find much but friday more then made up for it.....8 yds of beautiful fabric 7.99 , a 20.00 kenmore sewing machine and it runs so smoothly, tons of misc. sewing notions , a couple nice hard back quilt bks and lots of paperback reading books. If you go be careful some of their stuff is very over priced, if its something you really want consider speaking to the mgr.

Now this is quilt heaven...and I don't even NEED any more fabrics. I probably would not have been able to sleep all night because I would be up organizing fabrics.

I am so glad you had a great day with your daughter and a special surprise day with your fabric too. Can't get any better than that.
