Default Thrift Store finds

I was straightening up my sewing room and came across these quilt tops that I totally forgot about. The first one isn't that bad, just some the black looks out of place but, that's what scrappy is, right?

The second one looks like two different people did it. The blocks are done pretty well but the sashing is something else. The outside border is so gathered it literally looks like a ruffled hem. I think I will take that one apart and put the blocks together with black sashing. More tops to practice on the longarm with!

I like the first one and I agree with you on the second one. Black would look great. Love those blocks in the pink one.

I think you Might be right taking it apart. I don't think any amount of quilting will help the puckers. The blocks are to nice not to redo it.

I think it will be fun to take it apart, make sure all the blocks are square (with starch and pins and iron if need be) and see what it comes out like.

I like them both, but I think the second one could be stunning when redone!
