Thanks everyone for all the wonderful compliments. Before I chose the pink I had scanned in the pic of the horse and used a programme to show me different colours and combinations and possiblities of how it would look. My initial choice was blues and then I went onto sunset colours and finally settled on pinks. This quilt has no home but I will probably keep it for myself and hang it up in my sewing room.

Hi, just noticed your avatar. I have a little white poodle as well - Bella. Poodles (usually black ones) have always been a part of my life. Bella was rescued last year from the streets of Kuwait. She is such a sweetie pie. She is so not a normal poodle. No class, eats like a little piggie, sleeps so soundly and snores. She is always at my side. Love her so much.

I have seen this horse done in traditional 'horsey' colors - one hangs on the wall at Bigfork Bay Cotton Company. This is such an interesting contrast to the usual.
By the way, I live in Bigfork, MT & frequent the Bigfork Bay Cotton Company. They have lovely fabric, patterns & especially nice staff working there. Next trip to the quilt store, I'll tell them just how far their patterns have travelled!
