    Default Tidal Crossing Variation

After I'd finished the Tidal Crossing quilt I sent to my friend in January, I came across the Riley Blake Design 2023 Block Challenge, I really liked the first two blocks so made them, then didn't care for the next one, and sort of put that on hold to see what the next blocks would look like and decide whether or not to continue with it.

Since I liked the TC pattern so much, and really liked the 2nd RBD block ('Fanfare'), I figured a way combine them into one quilt, using the RBD Fanfare block with the 'crossing' block of TC (without the print squares). Now, a long time ago, HSTs and I decided we'd never be BFF, likely only nodding, grudging acquaintances, and there's nothing perfect about this summer quilt, but I like how it came out. It measures about 54 x 73", with just a pink dot flannel backing and no batting. Thanks for looking.

Pretty quilt. You may not be BFF with HST but it doesn’t look like you are mortal enemies either
