This is a tulip quilt that I saw in Fons & Porters Love of Quilting magazine. I think I started on it this spring. I've never done a panel quilt before. I had the purple and yellow tulip fabric. It was one of the first fabrics I purchased when I started building my stash. When I saw this quilt in the magazine, I knew I had to make it. Since I'd never done a panel quilt before, just figuring out how to buy the panel was my first challenge. I was excited to see it came in a black background since my tulip fabric also has a black background. There are 92 pieced tulips and 15 borders.
Whole quilt--Queen sized--I can't fit the whole thing in the frame!

Closer so you can see all 15 borders

I think it might be the prettiest one I've made. It's my 31st quilt. I'm going to put it on my guest room bed, and I'm going to make matching pillow cases. I found some border fabric that matches the tulip fabric--lucky me!Originally Posted by B. Louise
