Tired dog (for a while), Busy Parrot and French Braid Quilt

    Happy New Year to all!

Up early this morning to take the dog out for a 4-hour hike so I could have the afternoon to myself!

The dog crashed and Echo was busy with a piece of wood

I managed to get two full french braids done in 3.5 hours (yes, I finally got down to using those gorgeous batiks)

Alas, I only got a 3.5 hour break before the dog woke up, I heard a bark, some movement,

Off for a training break so I can tire her out again and then get back to sewing more french braids!

I love those French braids. I am working on a ks quilt for my DDIL, and have been putting off starting all day. But, maybe when I do get started, I can do as well as you have. They're beautiful.
Make every day count for something!

Great work. I love that pattern and will have to try with batiks. Your colors are beautiful. Are you going to put boarders on?

Same fabrics, just applied in opposite directions??? Isn't it amazing how it totally changes the look? This is one of my favorite patterns for a table runner. I think these would be very nice wedding gifts also.

beautiful, I've yet to do one, but on my bucket list.
they came out so delicious in the batiks.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

LOL about the dog! She is a working line GSD and I do a lot of hard core work / training with her ... she doesn't stay tired for long, and is NOT shy about letting me know she's ready to go back to work! I trained her in so many things that i created a monster !!!!! she is NEVER really tired ... just resting for the next bout of work!

Here's a pic of her getting my attention (one bark is all she needs)

And here's all the french braids done ... now to do the borders!
