I, too, am so jealous! I'm glad for your good fortune. What a find/bargain/gold mine. Good job.

I have registered my email with the different companies around that do auctions and estate sales. Each week I get lists of those within 50 miles of my house. The post pictures and items for sale. This one had listed craft items and sewing items. So I thought ok - well If I had had a dump truck of money I really could have cleaned up. I left fabric behind, boxes and boxes of yarn, craft and sewing stuff.

I went to another this morning that had quilts listed so I thought maybe she was a quilter. She was. Her daughter said they have a garage full of totes with fabric but did not get a chance to go through it. So I left my name and number and they are going to call me when they go through the fabric. The quilts were pulled from the sale because the family wanted more time to go through them.
How do you register your name for the estate sales?

Judy - go online and look google Estate Sales in your town or locality - companies should come up and individally they will give you the ability to put in paramiters (distance you are willing to travel). You add your email address to their service. I'm on roughly 5-6 separate Estate/Auction Sales email addresses. I'm willing to travel 50 miles from home. Usually they post pictures of what they are selling. They always post location, time and if it's an auction or sale. The Estate Sales ususally last 2-3 days Thursday-Sat. Usually the sales begin around 7 am and there are long waiting lines for the sales to begin. I try to pick sales that are close together. For Auctions I can only do one a day because what I usually am interested in tends to be last LOL. Usually if it's an Estate Sale they will knock 40-50% off on the last day BUT if you want it best get it at the full price - guaranteed it won't last till the last day. They will not nogiatiate prices the first day but will sometimes on the last day. Hope this is helpful.
