Your "learning and improvement" plan is very well thought out and is giving excellent results. Great job.

This looks fabulous and taking your time to do it to your liking has paid off. There are a lot of intricate little details in that panel, like outlining the dinosaurs and the words, that have to be done slowly if you want any degree of accuracy. And your clamshells are divine! I am also in the molasses camp. And while it may take me longer than some to finish a quilt I am still faster than the 4+ years it took me on average to complete a handquilted queen size quilt.

Really? FMQ takes a week and you call that slow? Honestly I personally think that is pretty darn good for someone on a learning curve. I fmq on my Jane or Ellegante, and it takes longer than that for me to do a quilt. Once its done, the time it took didn't matter. It was the end result that gives the satisfaction. I can only wish for a Tiara or an LA. Not going to happen so I trudge along but enjoy every minute of it.
This is a very happy lovely quilt that someone is sure to enjoy for a very long time. I love it!
