I understand completely. I leave the binding until I just have to do it. It sure takes a lot of time. I have a quilt that I have put off so long that I can't find the binding for it now. I know it is somewhere in this house. LOL

Last night I finished the binding on this quilt! It's been a long time in the making, I believe I finished the top in 2009 (maybe 2010? not sure). It sat around because I wasn't confident that I would be able to do a good job quilting it on my longarm that I've had for a year.

Now it's into the washer, a slight drying, then lay it out flat to block and shape it. Fingers crossed....

I have 3 more quilts folded up on my bed that need binding. Those are going to be by machine! This took days and days to do by hand.
Gorgeous! You give me hope! I have had my long arm just a week and am learning to master FMQ. I only hope I can do feathers like that in a year!

Your quilt is just wonderful from the colors, the pattern, the quilting and the binding. Thanks for sharing the photo as it is truly a work of art.
