She loved it! She also said that she was hoping that she might get one but thought that was too much to wish for. I'm so happy that she liked it. She said that she's going to bring it to Sunday school next week to show it off to all of her friends. I am so lucky to have a MIL as sweet as her!

Yes, wonderful Mother in laws are a blessing. It takes a wonderful daughter in law to make the relationship work. Good job. You make her feel like the special person she is. Nice gift.

Sharon, I don't really use a pattern. I mix and match fat quarters. I posted a very quick walkthrough on my method here (page 2):
