Thanks Grandma Cindy,
1st the black was a 1 1/2" strip folded in half & sewn on.
2nd the green was a 1 1/4" strip folded in half & sewn on.
Then the binding is 3 1/4 to accomodate the excess bulk from the black & green. Normally I just use a 3" binding.

Thanks for sharing the picture of the finished wall hanging. I remember when you were asking for suggestions about the border. I voted black, but I like your solution much better. It really pops with the green and black borders. Beautifu work!
