Darling and practical idea. What about using a washcloth for a pocket?

When I got married the first time, my grandmother made me an apron just like this and apologized saying that was all she had as a gift. It was the best gift and I used it for many years. Every shower after that and for as long as she could my Grandmother gave those as shower gifts. It got to be a staple on any shopping list to pick up a towel for Grandma to make. I still have the apron. Mine is brown with yellow trimmings. Ok tissues!!!!!

You could use a hand towel to make matching aprons for the little Girls in the family - would make neat Christmas gifts... or even those Bar Mop Style cloths would work for the little girls too... they are usually Square so you wouldn't have to cut them...
