So sorry about you Dad. It is hard to watch a parent go into a decline for whatever reason. My heart goes out to you. But the quilt is absolutely beautiful. I am bookmarking this one. Yes, give it to him now and let him enjoy it for however long he can. You will be glad you did.

Give it to him now. Christmas is just a date on the calendar. The spirit is everyday.

It is a beautiful quilt and even if he cannot express it, I believe that he will cherish it.
I lost my Dad to LBD 2 years ago after a long slow decline. It is very hard. May you get to spend as much time with him as possible. I would not wait until Christmas. Make special days when you can.

Your quilt is LOVELY and I"m sure your dad will love it. I encourage you to give it to him now "...just because", as in "...just because it's Tuesday" or "...just because I love you and want you to know it." Time is so short for each of us and so very UNpredictable.
