So I'm planning a log cabin quilt for my husband and I - the first quilt I've made for us! And I wanted to try it out. So I made four squares, got hubby's approval, and made them into a pillow for a friend's birthday tomorrow!

I've decided to make the 'light' portion into a 'dark' portion, using browns and blacks, and make the other half of the cabin out of mediums and misc. colors. I'll post the top when done!

good idea. It will be interesting to see a LC made from mediums and darks... instead of lights and darks. If I read your orginal post rightly.. Make sure to post it when you get a few blocks done!
