This is a customer quilt she wanted this pattern and all blues.
Here's a picture of the block section I now have completed. If you look at the center of the quilt vertically from top to bottom, you will see that I added an extra row between the left and right halves. I did that to get the width exactly as I wanted it so that my borders can equal the same width on all 4 sides. This way it will fit the drop on my customers bed perfectly. If I would've added an extra row on each side of the quilt, which seemed the logical way to do it, it would have been 5" too wide.

I can see what you are saying but if you hadn't said I never would have seen it! Amazing that you could figure it out - I don't think I would have! Beautiful!

That's really pretty. I never would have noticed if you hadn't pointed out the extra row. I'm impressed that you thought that far ahead. I never would have.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm a planner so most of my quilts are carefully figured out before I start. I have made a few quilts that I just start piecing scrappy blocks and then figured out how to put them together as I went and that was fun too but usually visualize what I want and then plan every detail.

Is there some way you can show us where you added the extra row. I evidently am dumbest cause I really can't see it.
Thanks - It is a beautiful quilt!

Look at the very center of the diamond shape. There is a lighter blue block surrounded by the darkest blue block. THe vertical strip that lighter blue block is in, is the added strip.
    Do you see it now?

Oh Lord! I've got a headache from staring at this picture and I still can't see it. I'm with you -- please put a post-it on the added row so that I can get some rest.
