The more scraps the better the quilt comes out. What a perfect pattern you chose.

Wow! You did a wonderful job. I know she'll love it. I feel your scrappy variety pain. I acquired my MIL's stash to make each of her grandchildren a quilt from her. It's more difficult to do than I thought it would be. I did copy the pattern link that was posted. Maybe I can be adventurous and follow your example. And MAYBE mine will turn out half as nice as yours did.

Default She got the scrappy today

Here's Charity with her quilt, it's from a Facebook posting, so the pic is a little fuzzy. My brother said she was "nearly in tears" which for her is a big thing, I guess, because I've never met her yet. But I'll see her this September! I wanted to do this because her mother quilted and she didn't, sort of a thing from one quilter to another and back again to her daughter. It was my first true scrappy since this is only my 9th quilt, and now I'm inspired to make more. Thanks for all of your nice comments, it really made my day.
