I thought it was cute how you called it “optimistic colours”, a nice way of putting it. I thought it looked a bit “crazy” but then I thought someone will surely like it, we thankfully don’t all have the same taste 😁

These trivets are always fun to make. I have made dozes of them and used them as holiday gifts. On some I started putting on a heat resistant backing . Especially for the guys that work at t the BBQ and smoker a great deal. Your tote is super pretty! The lines are great all the way around. Looks like a tote for any day of the week.

Really nice projects!
I have a trivet similar to yours that my sister-in-law bought me at least 30 years ago and it's still lovely and I still use it!
