I agree. If she likes purple this quilt has a her name all over it. I would just make sure she never finds out you do not care for it.

I love purple and really like this pattern.... could you tell us what pattern it is? Purple is one of my favorite colors and have to date not made one.... Yours is so beautiful now I think I need a purple quilt

Let's think about this ...... Personally I LOVE it! .... My daughter would have to fight me for it .....
That being said:
YOU don't like it .... you really, really don't like it.....
So different strokes for different folks ...... Your intended recipient may or may not like it .... for whatever reasons (i.e., color, style, size,etc.) Nothing personal, she just might not like it .......
"Family" usually accepts gifts given from the heart, whether or not the gifts are to their own personal tastes or dislikes.....
If you want the recipient to REALLY like it - just ASK for an honest opinion from that person ...... better than a "Gee, that's incredible!" and then put out of sight ..... If she doesn't like this one - make one she WILL like....
If the intended recipient doesn't really admire it for the gift it is AND love it for its usefulness ... you will always find some one who will truly appreciate and cherish it ....
And if I am wrong and you can't find that special some one, there are plenty on this Board that would be willing to buy the top from you ..... and would finish it and love it and cherish it ....
I can only imagine what Charismah would do to it with her long-arm expertise! -- You would probably not even consider giving it away after that!
