You can still get flour in fabric at Win-Co stores. I have gotten several of them. Your blocks are beautiful. I would wash one of them by hand to see how it holds up. May come out fine.

Someone has put a LOT of work into those lovely blocks. I am glad they have ended up with a person who will do justice to them.

I too would try hand washing one block by hand to see if the 'crispiness' goes away. I'd tend to sew them into a wall hanging - something that would not need frequent laundering. Good luck - they are beautiful!

Several years ago my mother found a set of butterfly blocks that look just like yours and were made by my grandmother. She could have made them into a quilt, but instead she used individual blocks and made small wallhangings for all of the family members (nieces, grandkids, everybody). It was a good way to share them.

You have enough there to make a beautiful quilt. I agree about a test washing to help determine what is going on with the crispiness. Please keep up informed!
